Another month has passed...

Clover Mead (batch 17)The nose has cleared out nicely. There's still some barely perceptible astringent whiffs. There's some zest and soap in the mouth with hints of yeast in the finish, but I'm looking for faults. On a feast table, this stuff would be... passable ( Read more... )

A lazy night at home waiting for the new Who to download...

I tasted my home batches back in early February, then gasped in horror as I opened the brew closet in March to see dried out airlocks. Here we go...

I don't mind these snowstorms, but every time I try to check on the cellars of the Red Mountain Brewers, I get snowed in. There's a batch at Christopher's that is probably ready to bottle, and at least three batches at Cristofana's that need attention of some kind.

( Tonight I checked on three batches in progress here at home, plus uncorked a bottle of some mulled wine... )
